The Impact of Student Volunteers in Varanasi

How students from BHU and MGKV strengthen environmental campaigns, rural awareness, and community trust in Varanasi.

By Aaranyak Foundation

Aaranyak Foundation is supported by students of Banaras Hindu University and Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith. This student participation gives the foundation energy, reach, and a culture of learning.

When educated youth work with communities, environmental action becomes less abstract. It becomes visible, conversational, and rooted in everyday rural life.

From Campus Energy to Field Action

Student volunteers support awareness drives, plantation documentation, farmer workshops, and social outreach. They help translate institutional intent into field-level execution.

Their role is not to replace community leadership. Their role is to listen, organize, document, and support local participation.

Building Trust

Trust grows when campaigns are consistent. Volunteers help maintain that consistency by returning to communities, following up on plantation drives, and keeping conversations alive after events end.

This is how short campaigns become long-term relationships.
